Hello everybody!
I'm back from my hiatus. Life has been sailing smoothly though it could have been better. I hope I do have plenty of things to say but knowing myself well, I don't recall much events.
School
I got my report card on Friday. I'm quite satisfied with my results. I scored two A's for Combined Humanities and Geography, a B3 for English, two C5s for my Sciences and E-Maths and I failed my A-maths which isn't shocking at all. If only I can manage to fetch a B3/4 for both Maths, I would so darn happy. *laughs* So adding up everything, I have a L1R5 score of 17 which is not too shabby because I've never gotten that low before.
Teacher's Day Celebration was wonderful. It was much better than before. The day started off with Aces Day. In my opinion, I think Aces Day is stupid. You got to walk around the perimeter of the school once and get back to class. I mean - it's so freakin' boring just walking about. I rather do activities than WALK because I'm so used to walking everyday while shopping. The concert was great. A little bit crazy here and there. I especially liked what Secondary 1E5 (is it that class?) did. Heh. So CUTE! But with all events and concerts, you gotta expect idiots shouting from the back of the hall which irritated me greatly.
OH YEAH, not forgetting this.
The Geography students are going for a field trip to a canopy walk at MacCritchie or however it it spelt. Road names and I have never been good friends. The walk sounds fun though although I've heard from the other Geogprahy students that the walk is stupid. The canopy walk wasn't as high as they thought it would be. It's a 5.5KM walk and that's gonna be a piece of cake because I do a lot of walking & shopping till my leg gets freakin' solid. I can't wait for that day to come! :D:D:D:D
Social Life
On Saturday (04/09), I headed for Golden Landmark at Bugis with my family to catch Siti Nurhaliza and local artistes LIVE. It's not a huge concert though. It's a small one. Not many were there. We reached the mall at 3pm and sat there like idiots waiting for Siti Nurhaliza to sing only to be told by another makcik(auntie) that she had sung at 1pm. I felt super *gah* because I could have done some revisions if it hadn't been for this stupid concert. Dad bought two CT-Tea. I've tried it. The tea is very fragrant especially the pandan flavour. I love that a lot better compared to the other flavour. After the concert, we went down to Banquet at Raffles Hotel (just a few metres away from Golden Landmark) and ate dinner there. I had a nice dinner (FISH 'n' CHIPS, YO!).
After that, we headed to a few street shops. The street shops were packed with people from all walks of life. There were angmohs, brunettes, blondes, asians, japanese. I was attracted to two particular bags. One of them being a sling bag and the other being one of those arm bags. Yanno, the ones girls usually use. But they were expensive so I didn't buy them. When I got back to Tampines, Mom, my sister and myself went to Tampines Mall to get me a new bag. So we stopped by 77th Street first of all and I fell in love with a Billabong bag and a sling bag. *dropsdead* But you know - branded goods = expensive shit. So we went down to the 2nd/3rd floor (can't remember which floor it is) and bought a nice orange bag for $34. :) HEH. I love it.
'nuff about this week.
ast week or the week before last week, I went down to Popular bookstore with a friend after dinner. I finally managed to save enough to buy the book I mentioned in the previous entry - "Sold for Silver". There were only two left on the shelves so I assumed the book was a HOT sale. And now that I've bought the book and finished reading it, I'm going to buy another book called, "A Child Called "It"". Very nice, sad book indeed. There was another particular book about a stripper. This girl was from China and she came to Singapore in hopes that she could find a job only to get cheated in the end by her boyfriend [a common scene in movies, heh.] In the end, she was forced into prostituition and ended up as a stripper. Men rushed in day after day and she was forced to entertain them to the point that the book publisher projected an image of a naked girl facing the other way [so the genitals are't seen, mind you!] and holding a knife behind her. I wanted to buy that book but because I've decided on Sold For Silver, I went ahead and bought it. Besides, I've been wanting to read it.
So it's either,
a. a child called it
b. that stripper book thingie.
*deciding*
Ok. Enough. I'm tired of blogging. :/ but dont worry you'll still see me updating once a week or so.
BYE. =)
